Pakistani First Muslim Woman Elected As Deputy Mayor
Tahfeen Sharif, a woman from Pakistan, has been named the first Muslim woman deputy mayor of Thameside.
She was a member of a social group and was also claimed as the city’s youngest councilor in 2012.
In the past, she had been employed as Bedfordshire’s deputy police commissioner. As she was just a student, Tafheen was very much into political initiatives.
She belongs to Pakistan’s Azad Kashmir. She also stated that the issue of Kashmir needs to be sorted out seriously after she was chosen as the deputy mayor.
Kashmir’s topic, as per this freshly employed deputy mayor, was not in a state to be unheard. She said in her statement, “We all have a responsibility to make an effort to solve this situation.” She additionally stated, “I will be talking about the Kashmir issue at every forum.”
